Application Process:

How can I apply to the Master’s/Ph.D. programs?

Is there any fee for the Online Application?

The Online Application is free of charge.

 

How can I learn about the available programs, and their duration, tuition fees and language of instruction?

Can I apply for more than one postgraduate program?

An applicant can apply for maximum 3 programs in the same round of applications.

 

Do you provide weekend/evening classes?

Our degree classes are delivered in the daytime during working days. Weekend and evening classes are not available.

 

What kind of documents do I need to prepare for application?

Please, check the documents above, and make sure that you have digital copies of all required documents before starting your application. Once you submit your application to any program, you will not be able to make any changes.

 

I have not graduated from my bachelor degree program yet. Can I still apply for a Master’s program?

Applicants studying in their last year/semester can apply. After the initial acceptance to the program, they will be required to submit their diploma/interim certificate of graduation and full transcript.

Same applies to the Ph.D applicants who have not yet finished their Master Degree.

 

I do not have any language proficiency exam result to present in the application. What should I do?

Applicants who do not hold a language proficiency exam are required to sit for Ibn Haldun University Proficiency Exams, on the days specified in the academic calendar.

My program is taught fully/partially in English. Can I study English Prepatory Class after getting admission?

Admission is not offered to students who do not fulfill the English Language Requirement.

English is the language of instruction in my previous Bachelor/Master program I graduated from. Do I still have to sit for the English exam or provide a proof of English proficiency?

Unless you are a graduate from English-medium degree in (USA, UK, Canada or Australia), you are still required to upload a document that proves your proficincy in the English Language, or sit for the IHU Proficiency exam.

 

Where and how can I take Ibn Haldun University English Proficiency Exams?

If you live in Turkey (Istanbul and other cities), you are required to take the English Proficiency Exam at Ibn Haldun University’s campus, on one of the days specified in the academic calendar.  If you are not a resident of Turkey, you have the right to benefit from the Online Examination System. Please book your exam session by making the right selection from the Online Application System.

 

My program requires proficiency in Arabic. How can I test my proficiency? And can I study Arabic Prepatory Class after getting admission?

 

If you are resident in Turkey, and your program required proficieny in Arabic, you are required to enter Arabic Language Proficiency Exam at Ibn Haldun University’s campus, on one of the days specified in the academic calendar. If you are not a resident of Turkey, you have the right to benefit from the Online Examination System. Please book your exam session by making the right selection from the Online Application System.
Prepatory class in Arabic is not a valid option.

 

My program is taught in Turkish. My program requires proficiency in Turkish. How can I test my proficiency in turkish? And can I study Turkish Prepatory Class after getting admission?

If you are resident in Turkey, and your program required proficieny in Turkish, you are required to enter Turkish Language Proficiency Exam at Ibn Haldun University’s campus, on one of the days specified in the academic calendar. Online examination system is not available for Turkish Language.

Students accepted in programs taught fully/partially in Turkish are eligible to study one year of Turkish preparatory class, with no extra charges, before their academic program.

 

I have submitted my application. What should I do next?

After submitting the application, make sure not to miss the dates of Language Proficiency Exams (if applicable in your case). Short-listed students are likely to be contacted one or two days before the interview dates, as specified in the academic calendar. Interview is an important element in determining your acceptance/rejection status as well as scholarship opportunities.

 

Would all applicants be invited to the interview?

Only short-listed applicants will be invited for the interview on email.

 

I live abroad. How can I attend the interview?

Applicants abroad can be interviewed online through video conference on Skype. Applicants are required to enter an active and correct Skype Account ID in the Online Application Form.

 

I fulfill all the acceptance requirements mentioned on the website, howverver, I did not recieve a call for the interview.

The requirements mentioned on the website are the initial minimum requirements for processing your application. The shortlisting process is undertaken by the admission committee of your department and is subject to the competition between applicants to the same program.

 

How can I learn about the result of my application?

The list of accepted students will be announced on our website, on the date specified in the academic calendar. Accepted students will be contacted on email.

 

I am not accepted to the university, can I apply again in the next round of application?

Yes, you can apply again.

 

I am accepted to the program, what should I do next?

You will be informed about the regsitration and further steps in the Acceptance Letter.

 

I am accepted to the university. When should I start applying for the visa?

After the acceptance, you are expected to contact the Turkish Embassy in your country to learn about the requirements of Student Visa application. Shortly, the university will provide you with the Official Acceptance Letter that will be used during the visa application.

 

My visa procedures are taking a long time. Would I miss my opportunity to enroll in the university if I am late for registration?

You must keep in contact with the International Office to be updated about the deadline. In the case of excessive delay, you risk losing your admission offer or delaying your registration to the next semester.

 

Do I have to apply for residence permit once I reach to Turkey?
